I THINK ALL MEDICES YOUR MOTHER IS TAKING ARE O.K. ASK TO TAKE SALAD FULL PLATE BEFORE EACH MEAL AND FRUITS INBETWEEN. BRISK WALKING ALSO ADVISABLE.

The treatment for diabetes is in right direction. If her TSH is very low and she have lost weight, get her T3 & T4 tested as she may have hypothyroidism. Tiring, acidity, weight loss may all may be due to this. For constipation, she is advised to take plenty of green vegetables and salad along with milk of magnesia or cremaffin-p. For acidity, she she may take rabeprazole20 mg marketed as Cyra (not Cyra plus) once daily at bed time or if severe, twice daily in morning and evening on empty stomach. Ulcer in her throat may be due to regurgitant acid and may benefit from Cyra. Or get her checked by an ENT specialist.

lybrate-user, eight reduction and tiredness can occur in diabetes if blood glucose is not under control. You have not mentioned her current fasting, PP glucose levels and HbA1c%, so there is no way to know how good the control is. Weight loss also does occur in hyperthyroidism along with other symptoms like tiredness, irritability, difficulty in sleeping, increased heart rate & palpitations, loss of appetite or increase in appetite, light menstrual periods, mental disturbance, muscle weakness, nervousness, shortness of breath etc. So pleas come back with present blood glucose levels & HbA1c%, that will help in giving suggestions. Thanks.
