I came to know from my mother that black kajal used as eye liner for infant should not be used as it is also a kind of carbon which could be harmful for child. Kindly clarify!

No you should not apply Kajal. It's not recommended. Using Kajal can cause allergy, watery eye and itchiness. It can also block naso lacrimal duct during bathing or washing that can lead to infection. Commercially available Kajal contains lead that can cause toxicity and can lead to nervous system damage with very prolonged use. So it's better to avoid it.
