If you are talking about side effcts then there are no side effects of removal of teeth. If the tooth is decayed, It can b saved also, as molar teeth are very important for chewing food. I would suggest you to save the tooth.

Teeth should be always saved. If removed in extreme conditions it should be replaced after 2 weeks.

Removal of any teeth should be last option. Please try to save natural teeth by doing root canal treatment.

Hi lybrate-user There are a lot of side effects of removing a molar tooth. Just naming a few like bone loss, drifting of adjacent teeth in the empty space, deranged bite, inefficiency in biting food properly etc. If you have a decayed tooth and it has ample tooth structure that is worth saving. Saving your tooth by filling or root canal treatment is a good treatment alternative rather than getting it removed. You should visit your nearest Dentist to get examined if that tooth can be saved. If it cannot be saved make sure to get it replaced by artificial tooth or an implant once you get it removed. Take Care.

There is no side effects of removing molar teeth. But first you should ask your dentist that whether it can be saved by doing RCT and capping or not. If not then you can go for removal. Its a matter of 3 days of discomfort for which you will have to take painkillers and not chew food on the side of removal for 3-4 days. After that it will be fine.
