Sir, I am hearing Impaired using a hearing aid. I have an interview in the coming few days. I feel my hearing ability has come down a bit. Now losing confidence, worrying about how I face the interviewer. Please suggest me some tips how to hear properly (please don't suggest me to go to audiologist for tuning or hearing aid which was already done)

Mr. lybrate-user, Please take part in mock test, interviews, along with your friends. This can be conducted at home, friend's place or in professional place. Read journals, internet, regarding preparation for interviews. Do yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises. Go for walks. Eat fruits and vegetables. Chat with friends and relatives about subject or general information. Are you taking any drugs, smoking, alcoholic drinks. Sleep well, Relax and see good serials. Do not play mobile games.

Hi lybrate-user. I don't think the issue with you has anything to do with the aid. U r conscious of the fact that you have an impairment .though adequately controlled for. Relax.Chill. The issue with you is anticipatory anxiety. Yes anxiety is just a normal response to a real or perceived threat.in your case the interview n the interviewer. Pls Google rcpsych anxiety panic n phobias key facts to knw more. When anxious .our ability to focus. Pay attention n concentrate goes down. To listen properly one needs to be attentive. This isn't the first time you r facing anxiety am pretty much sure. Remember all the exams .vivas. Social situations you have faced so far. They also brought in a bit of fear .didn't they. Am pretty much sure you succeeded then n will now. Remember. Work is thy duty (preparing adequately n performing at the interview to the best of your abilities.
