I'm 27 years old recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Experiencing hair loss either due to the eltroxin Ive been prescribed or due to my condition. Is there any treatment for this? What foods should I eat to avoid hair loss? I've got pcod as well.

lybrate-user, Hypothyroidism causes a number of symptoms of which hair fall is a very common and one that resolves very slowly. It is not because of thyroxine, it is due to lack of it. Unless you control TSH value between 3 to 4 mU/L, most symptoms will reappear or remain. Thanks.
