Dear Lybrateuser, -Your rapid heart rate could be due to stress & anxiety -do regular exercises like jogging, swimming, playing outdoor games for 20-30 min, also do yoga & deep breathing for 10-15 min in the morning -do not keep focus on the heartbeat, divert your mind in other activities like reading, listening to music, following a hobby, these will distress you & you will feel better -have a well balanced, nutritious diet with more of fruits, green leafy vegetables, keep yourself well hydrated drink 8-10 glasses of water per day -if not much relief then do blood hemogram, thyroid levels, ecg & consult a doctor.

at 18, you are a growing up teenager with more demands on resources to grow tall. eat a high protein diet like milk,curds, eggs, soya, pulses and seasonal vegetables and fruits for vitamins. less fats and less carbs as you are overweight , may be this is the reason for heart to be beating fast ,to cope up with extra load on heart. reduce weight y 10 kgs only @ 5 kgs/ month.

Hello, According to your age and height, your weight is some how excessive. That should be reduced by eliminating fatty food, fast food cold drinks etc with light exercise.
