Respected sir my name is pratiksha and my age is 24. I have a benign fibroadenoma so I would like to know that in future there is a change to get cancer. I consulted with a doctor and he told me it's benign. I have not done surgery till now. It's is compulsory to remove the tumor. If I don't remove in lifetime will there be a risk?

No, there is no risk of cancer. What is the size of the lesion? If it is small and not troubling you, you may chose to just observe, else you may get it removed as well. It is a very minor surgery

Fibroadenoma changing to a cancer is quite rare. However there is a lifetime risk of developing breast cancer and it depends upon the specific features of fibroadenoma which can be identified in a biopsy test. If the biopsy test says that the risks are less then you can continue with a conservative treatment without surgery unless it's uncomfortable for you or if it grows in size or becomes painful later.
