Hi sir, my query is about teeth, my teeth has bit gaps between, is it possible to fill this small n minor gaps to get nice teeth. Is there any treatment to cover this minor gaps between teeth (only upper teeth)? Awaiting answer, thank you :)

Hi. The gaps between teeth could be due to various reasons. 1. Missing teeth. Sometimes certain teeth like lateral incisors fail to initiate or teeth like canines fail to erupt. They are impacted within the jaw bone. So the space is created. 2. Small teeth. Sometimes, the teeth size is a mismatch to the jaw size. You can have a bigger jaw size but the size of teeth is genetically small. 3. Protruded teeth. There is protrusion of upper teeth. Since the teeth fan out, it gives an appearance of spaced dentition. 4. Mal alignment of teeth. The teeth in your arch can be crooked, rotated or otherwise not in proper alignment. 5. Dental caries. The tooth may have proximal caries which have created spaces. The choice of treatment to close the gaps depends upon one of these reasons. The gaps can be filled by. 1. Orthodontic treatment. 2. Cosmetic composite build up. 3. Veneering/laminates. And other methods specific to your problem. In general, small gaps can be covered by building up the teeth to make them broad so as to mask the gaps. Please visit your dentist for full evaluation of the reason for the gaps and take appropriate treatment.
