Lybrate-user, if hypothyroidism is confirmed, then treatment with thyroxine tablets has to be initiated, which will control all the symptoms. Dose has to be decided on the basis of body weight, t4 & tsh levels. Plus soy beans, soy containing products, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, radish, peanuts and coffee have to be avoided. Tablet should be taken early morning and nothing to be taken for one and half to two hours after that. Should consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits. Also only use whole grain flour for chapati & roti. Np maida and food made out of it. Should exercise for at least 1 h a day. Thanks.
