Mr. Lybrate-user, healthy food intake is essential for maintaining good health. Excess of anything is bad. When one consumes excess sweets sucrose intake goes up, which a simple carbohydrate, it does put load on insulin, plus taking excess sucrose (sugar) has been proved to be unhealthy in the long run. Excess sugar or extra carbs taken will get converted to fat and weight increase can occur. Fortunately you are having less weight, but if this habit continues, weight increase can be a consequence. There is nothing like balancing between excess sweet eating and maintaining normal blood sugar. My advice is to reduce the sweets eating. There is no specific remedy for that, you simply have decide and reduce the intake. Care has to be taken if there is a family history of t2 diabetes. Thanks.
