My back of the neck is turning dark. Is it a symptom of diabetes? What should be done to overcome this situation.

It is not diabetes. It may be taenia nigra, a type of fungal infection. Antifungal treatment of a week or so will suffice. If you could post me the photos, I will be able to treat you in a better way. Regards

Mr. Lybrate-user, in case of increasing insulin resistance there is darkening of skin on the neck including back of neck, under arms and groin. It is call as acanthosis nigricans. It is also a major sign in t2 diabetes particularly in overweight and obese patients.
