I am 8 weeks pregnant. I am having thyroid. I had my tsh 10.1. So I started taking 150 mcg. (Earlier I used to take 88 mcg) After 10 days my tsh level dropped to 3.5 but t4 level increased to 13.1. Should I continue with 150 mcg or should I minimize dosage. Kindly help.

Hi, in pregnancy first trimester, tsh level should be <2.5 and < 3 in second and third trimester. So you r right. But please do it under guidance of your obstetrician or endocrinologist. Do not self medicate.

Actually during pregnancy you have to maintain your TSH level at 2 or 3. So no need to reduce your dosage. Also T4 level will be slightly variable in pregnancy due to hormonal changes.
