Hi lybrate-user, Medicine & powder is not the only option to build muscles/ body. Don't be disappointed. If you are trying to gain weight, make sure that you are doing it in a healthy way. To gain weight you must consume simple foods for weight gain, which has enormous amount of calories & protein. Consuming lot of calories doesn’t mean that you have to over eat or over stuff yourself. Never skip your meals, take 3 major meals & 3-4 small meal/ snacks and make sure you are including all varieties of foods like fruits, vegetables, cereals and foods with high protein in your diet. Dairy products like milk, yoghurt and cheese are rich in protein and calcium. If you are non-vegetarian then include Egg & meat Egg is a protein rich food with high amount of calories. Nuts are the most nutritious and protein rich food. Take sufficient water (10-12 glasses in a day). Start work out approx for 30-40 minutes daily like brisk walk, running, jogging, skipping, swimming whatever you like.
