Hi The most common causes for stent thrombosis is usually inadequate anti-thrombotic treatment, shock and myocardial ischemia. It is estimated that the incidence of restenosis varies from 1.1% to 2.5% depending on the severity of disease and cardiac condition. Also these may occur immediately or even an year later. Best medicine for maintaining blood thinning is with oral aspirin with clopidogrel.
