Recently I heard that eggs are very good for weight loss and I was shocked! I daily eat 2 eggs just to gain weight as I am very thin. My gym instructor also suggests me to eat boiled eggs. But what is the truth? Does eggs help in to gain weight or weight loss? Please help.

Hi lybrate-user, eggs are a complete source of nutrition and has high protein content. Boiled eggs are suggested to those who want to lose weight as it has the least calories as compared to omlette or egg bujiya. However eggs can be eaten by those who want to gain weight and those you are gyming also as it helps to provide energy and build muscle. Eggs alone will not increase your weight. You need to increase your daily food intake also. Have 5 -6 meals daily after every 2-3 hours. Eat bananas or banana milkshakes.
