Walking burns 250 calories @ speed 5 kmph and jogging at 8 kmph will burn 550 calories. All calculated per hour. Just this shift from walking to jogging alone can help reduce 300 x 30 days = 9000 calories per month = about 1.5 kgs. This can help you lose about 7-10 kgs in 6 months. If you are graduating from walking to jogging. Then do it gradually. Walk for 10 mins then jog for 2 mins. Then 3 mins walk. And repeat this cycle. As your stamina and strength grows.
