Hi doctor, I want to know that my wife is with b negative blood group and I am o positive and we both are planning for baby. Does it cause any complication for the baby or for the mother. She would be able to conceive baby or not. Pls reply.

Hello- it is known as rh incompatibility. You will not face any difficulties in first pregnancy but in the second one or first pregnancy with previous miscarriage can be a complication resulting in the death of baby. So its better to consult a gynaecologist and administer a anti rh serum injection if gone through miscarriage or at the time of birth of first child if not conceived before. Its a common procedure performed in every maternity centre.
