I work in a night shift which is from 11 pm to 7 am. I have heard about the ill effects of a night shift on your health due to lack of sleep. So if a person works in a night shift and makes sure that he gets adequate uninterrupted sleep of 7 hours will it neutralize the bad effects of a night shift?

No it cannot. You will get sunlight in morning/day time only. You have to adjust to the circumstances.
