Thank you for the query. As per the information provided, you are having fever with chills and rigor for last weeks. A simple viral fever is unlikely to last this long. Please get some basic blood tests done like total white blood cell count/differential count, crp, malaria parasite/dual antigen and urine examination (culture and routine). Sometimes, a blood culture may be needed for prolonged fever. Since you are getting dizzy when you are getting up from bed, this possibly implies that you are having a postural hypotension, which occur when one is not taking enough fluids/water. Hence, drink plenty of water/fluids. Since fever is a catabolic state, you need to maintain your nutrition very well. To reduce your fever you can take paracetamol (if temperature is more than 101 f) and go for tepid sponging, but this will only relieve your symptoms temporarily. Take multivitamin tablets. The fever has to be treated as per the underlying cause, and a course of antibiotics may be needed. I would advise you to consult a physician as soon as possible for a thorough clinical examination and further advice. Regards.
