I am 63 year old. Habit of late dining and going to bed around midnight. I suffer sleeplessness till almost 3.00 am then I slip to short sleep. It happens two or three nights in a week.

I feel you already know where your problem lies. Take your dinner early. Switch off all electronic devices half an hour before you go to sleep. Take a cup of warm milk before bed. No caffeinated drinks after 5pm. This should solve your problem. Take long brisk walk at anytime that suits you. If this doesn't work we have many other solutions. This is the first step try at least for a month.
