What is the permanent fix to get rid of bad breath. I have tried various things like cleaning the teeth, floss, regular brushing twice but still the problem persists. Anything that can prevent it completly. What do I need to apply to my gums?

Start rinsing your mouth after anything you eat or drink. Also do warm saline rinses 2-3 times daily. Clean your tongue also.

Drink lots of water and fluids like juices, tender coconut, buttermilk etc.., Have a balanced diet, lots of greens in ur food.. You definitely need a professional cleaning with polishing( if u havnt got it done till nw).. After cleaning, massage ur gums regularly.. Get a proper brushing technique instructions from ur dentist..
