Hi I wanted to know is it ideal to join gym to loose weight and get into shape or be a runner ? Can I join gym first and once I get into shape can I start running?

Ya you can start with running. Gym will help you to shape up initially. Then if you have not followed diet and regimen may increase weight again. But you can maintain weight by running and toning exercises by yourself.

Joining the gym is not mandatory. There are many other ways to get fit.
