Hello doc. I am 27 years old female married last six month. I am pcod patient. So we plan for a child asap. Last five month I took novelon. After last check up doctor said my eggs are normal in size and its ovulate. Still am not getting pregnant. Fot me is it necessary to take folic acid medine?

After stopping novelon, it takes some time for the body to regain fertility. Aprox 3 months. So if your ovulation is normal, there ate good chances provided other things are also normal.

You have to leave novelon now, if you are planning for pregnancy, provided your cycles are normal and hormones are ok. My second question is did you have irregular periods? as there is a misconception that people think that polycystic ovaries in usg means pcod. But that is wrong. Mere usg cannot detect pcod. Now if your eggs are ovulating normally (which is quite unlikely in severe pcod), it's a welcome sign. If your husband's report is ok and other tests are normal, try regular frequent intercourse in midcycle (around day 12-16, if period is regular, occurring at interval of 28-32 days)
