Greeting lybrate-user, first of let me reassure that this is a totally treatable and also a very common problem among pregnant women. Now that you asked about safety, I would assume you are not a known hypertensive or a diabetic or an asthmatic. Answer to the problem is 1- you may reduce the symptoms by altering your lifestyle and food habits a): drink less water during eating b) many small meals and not one or two heavy meals c) not to lie down immediately after a meal, d) left lateral position while lying down. 2- if you have already done that and still have no relief then you could consider a few medications such as simethicone (acixx 5 ml) or gelusil chewable tablets which are safe during pregnancy.
