You need carbohydrate and fat rich diet without compromising your protein intake. 1 gm of fat gives 9 calories and 1 gm of carbo gives 4 calories. You need on an average about 2200 calories for your daily activities if you are not a laborious worker. To meet this demand and have a surplus to turn calories in to deposits, you need more calories which readily come from carbo and fats. Minimum 50 gms of proteins (milk, pulses etc), 40 to 50 gms of fats (milk products, oils, ghee,) and rest from carbohydrates (wheat, rice, potatoes, sugars) to fulfil the 2500 calorie demand. Plan your diet accordingly like a breakfast having paranthaas of potatoes with curd, halwa made in ghee, lunch having chapatees, purees, rice, daal, sweet etc and same for dinner. There will definitely be a weight gain gradually over next 6 months to your satisfaction. You must be in a position to readjust your diet ingredients to lower down the calories if the weight gain is to be stopped in future.
