What happens if a person sugar levels are consistently less than 50 mg/dl. Will it be fatal? Or will it affect any other organs?

Yes. Every cell of a body including all vital organs most importantly brain cell requires adequate sugar level in blood every minute for energy and functioning say around 100 mg%. Low sugar levels as low as 50 mg% certain natural mechanisms in body come into action immediately and if blood sugars do not come up and sustain low sugar will result in at its worst into coma and convulsions. If not rectified may lead into death or irreversible coma.
