Sir/Madam, I have been diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse some months back. Because of this I experience weakness in my hands and limbs, feel pain in heart and chest and headache. Want to know if yoga or other exercise will help.

Dear lybrateuser, -you can do gentle & restorative yoga if you do not have symptoms of dizziness, shortness of breath, fatigue or heart arrhythmia -do poses where you are able to rest supine without shortness of breath, avoid vigorous yoga practice -you can also do normal walking for 15-20 min daily -do take advice from your physician before setting out on a programme.
