Hello! Water retention depends on many condition. During PMS i.e. 10 days before menstrual cycle water retention happens due to hormonal change any physiological change. During travelling again water retention can be present. Excess salt or sodium intake also can be a cause. Liver or kidney dysfunction also can be cause. The term water retention (also known as fluid retention) or hydrops, hydropsy signifies an abnormal accumulation of clear, watery fluid in the tissues or cavities of the body. Water is found both inside and outside the body's cells. To avoid water retention with no medical issues one can use cinnamon water or cinnamon tea regularly,lot of water intake, healthy liquids like unsalted butter milk, green tea, coconut water, unsalted n no sugar lemon water etc. also can be used to fight this condition.
