I also got my testosterone test done Values of testosterone are: total 260, free 5 My question are these values and can be reason for decrease in libido. If yes, then is there any testosterone treatment. I have testosterone treatment leads to reduction in sperm count and leads to prostate cancer Pls advise.

Mr. Lybrate-user, your testosterone value is in normal range. There is no reason to take that hormone. Lack libido can be seen in hypothyroidism. It is important to have tsh values around 3 to 4 milli units/l, then only it is considered under good control and most of the symptoms improve. Unnecessarily using testosterone is an invitation for its side effects, which include: acne, oily skin, mild fluid retention, stimulation of prostate tissue, increased urination, decreased stream, increased risk of developing prostate cancer, breast enlargement and increased blood clots. So my suggestion is check tsh and try bring it to above mentioned range. Thanks for the question.
