I had unprotected sex with my gf and she missed her periods. We also dis the pregnancy test which showed negative. Periods were to come by 23 but they have not came yet and we did the test on 27th may. Now we will be doing a test on Friday i. E on 3rd June. What if that test comes out to be a positive. We don't want the child. Is it possible to do abortion through pills and not through operation. Please suggest me.

Hi Praful. Welcome to lyberate. Actually its slightly early to do the test. So it would be good idea to repeat it later, 3rd June would be a good date. For the baortion, yes medicines are available which can safely and effectively terminate the pregnancy upto 9 weeks. After that one usually ends to opt for surgical procedures. As long as the medicines are taken in their correct dose and technique they are safe and effective. However if taken incorrectly, not only can it have serious side effects but also incomplete termination, so its always best to take them under medical supervision.
