Immediately take crushed ice & wrap in a cloth & tie it around your ankle for about 15 minutes. You need to do this once in every 2-3hourly to reduce the inflammation & swelling. Simultaneously you have to follow price protocol- protection, rest (don't put on body weight on your ankle& foot for a week atleast), ice (explained), compression (can use ankle wrap/winder in case swelling is not there or minimum but need to use crape bandage in case of there is remarkable swelling, elevation (keep your foot above the level of your heart with the help of pillows. Once inflammation is subsided then need to take few sessions of physiotherapy at a clinical set up.
