Other causes may be sleeping during the day, intake of Kapha - increasing foods (heavy, sweet, cooling and unctuous food in excess). Over intake of food. Heredity and Pathology are rare causes. Tips to reduce weight ?Avoid excess eating, eating during indigestion or just after taking pervious meal. ?Avoid day sleeping; sleep in the night after one hour of your dinner. ?Do regular exercise like brisk walking (at least), running, swimming etc. Avoid sedentary and lethargic lifestyle. ?Avoid eating excess sweets. Have lowfat /skim dairy products. Avoid product like chocolates, ice creams, cheese, paneer, sugar etc. ?Take non-vegetarian food like chicken, fishes, eggs, meats etc. In moderate quantity. My approach is different. I want to say that; start eating 200 gms of salad before half an hour of every principal meal. Eat less of starch and fats. Go to a gym twice a week for reducing belly fat. You have belly that means you are also obese. So every thing to get thin. Stick to three meals. Do not be snaking in between. Once you get thinner you will naturally look taller. Otherwise there is nothing that can increase your height.
