Dear lybrateuser, -to avoid heart disease you have to have a healthy lifestylewhich includes -a heart healthy diet which includes more of fruits & vegetables, green leafy ones, whole grain foods, whole wheat bread, chapatti, oats, corn, brown rice, low fat dairy products, cottage cheese, curds, healthy fats, like in fish, nuts, walnut, almonds, cashews, beans, legumes, canola oil, olive oil -avoid deep fried, processed & junk foods -do regular exercises for 30-60 min, include aerobic, brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling, also do mild weight lifting exercises on alternate days -try to lead a stress free life, do meditation, listen to music, read, follow a hobby -get regular check up done to avoid problem.
