I am from a poor Indian family and I didn't get fish and eggs everyday, so my question is should I take multivitamin everyday to fulfilled my daily vitamin needs (multivitamins are not very expensive in the govt medicine shop here.)? And how long I can take vitamin pill without any side effect? I mean is it safe to take vitamins everyday?

Hye. Thank you for your query. You do not need to eat fish and eggs to be healthy. There are many other foods which will give you healthy nutrients. Replacing meals with supplements is really sad. Supplements are chemicals st the end of the day and taking them in the long run may have their side effects. Understand that eating rice dal or roti pulse or shengdana chana will also give you good nutrition. Always eat seasonal and local foods, they give you the best nutrients and seasonal foods need not be expensive. Just because a food is expensive does not make it healthier.
