I am facing below issues 1. Irregular sleep patterns 2. Puking sensation post breakfast or dinner. So unable to intake food properly. 3. No hunger. 4. Have no habit of smoking n drinking. 5. But worried a lot about life. I am settled in a good and well secured job. But wherever I turn I feel pessimistic thoughts of something wrong going around me. 6. I am fine when I am at office. But after returning home, I face all these problems. I feel dejected n depressed. Please advice on any medications for sound sleep since I have nt slept properly for couple of months now. I am very worried that this would continue all through my life without keeping my family happy. Want a solution from you, please.

Hello lybrate-user its really stressful if we don't get a goodnight's sleep. What you have to do is keep a sleep diary for a week. To understand your sleep pattern. We have to know if theres any underlying cause for this insomnia/sleeplessness. If theres none then its called primary insomnia. I can help you if you can provide me with a complete details of your physical analysis and past medical history stress is one of the main reasons for insomnia. Anxiety worry fear sadness etc can cause sleep disturbances. Try to make it better by following these guidelines. 1) try to sleep and wake up everyday at the same time. Go to bed at the same every night. Make sure you switch off all the lights. Make the room warm and take a shower before going to bed 2) avoid looking at your mobile phone right before sleeping 3) drink plenty of water 4) avoid caffeine at night 5) have an early dinner (2 hours before bed time) do not take heavy dinner.

Dear Lybrate User, All you need is love and support in life. I think you do not have very happy and satisfying relations with your closed ones. May be your childhood was not very happy. I think, you have a disturbed mind because of which you have lost sleep. When negative feelings do not get a healthy outlet, they get internalised and start affecting our body.
