Sometimes I hear a popping sound from my ears inside while I swallow. Feels some kind of pressure little. What is this. Do I have to consult or its ok. I have been experience this since 2 years. Any medication needed or can it be gone itself.

Hi nothing to worry at all. There is a tube at back of ears connecting the nose and throat which opens and closes whenever we swallow or yawn to maintain the pressure between inside ears and outside. But since you feel pressure get an impedance test for ears that will check if the pressures in the ears are fine or not. Depending on the report medicines and nasal drops can be advised. You can also do steam inhalation. Do some chewing carrots that will help releasing the pressures. Take care.

There is a connection from back of our eardrums to our back of nose and throat called eustachian tube. If the popping is very occasional than it is likely to be normal. But better to have a check up because wax on eardrum and certain eardrum problem can cause similar complain.
