I am 22 years old male. I am smoking since last one year. How can I get to know that how much my lungs are affected. And what should I do to make myself fit and healthy once again?

You can test your lung capacity by pft. It's hard to determine the extent of damage to your lungs. Smoking cessation can stop further damage and over few years your lungs will recover slowly. The damage also depends on the exposure in terms of smoke years (number of cigarettes per day x number of years of smoking). You may take help of a psychiatrist if you have difficulty in quitting smoking.
