I have pain at bottom of my right thumb and at the middle of my index finger. Doctor says It is miner fracture. I can't write properly. Please suggest any treatment at home. I can't afford plaster because of my private marketing job. Age 38.
If you have a fracture, in the acute phase, it should be immobilized in a forearm-based splint or cast for 3-4 weeks. Gentle active range of motion (rom) of the uninvolved digits, should be encouraged. A physiotherapist can instruct you to perform these exercises on a daily basis at home.
