My uncle of age 57 years, height is 5'8" and weight is 156 kg, having diabetes from last 7 years on regular medicine. But now he is feeling blurring in vision, did not feel any warm and cold in his foot. In night frequent urination also. How we can manage this problem, or we should go to the clinic regarding this.

Mr. Lybrate-user, your uncle has very morbid obesity with 52.34 kg/m2 bmi. This one of the major reasons for diabetes being not in control. Secondly if he has developed any problem with vision, a retinal check up has to be done immediately, because severe hyperglycemia can lead to damage to retina. Loss of sensation in feet is also a problem due to diabetic neuropathy. If he can afford it is better if bariatric surgery is done, which will help in reducing weight, will also help in controlling diabetes. Things are serious do not waste time, get the eyes checked urgently.
