Hi, geographic tongue is a condition in which tongue papillae are lost in some areas and they reappear after some days. It is not a serious problem and you should not worry. May be your dentist had suspected superadded fungal infection and so he prescribed you candid mouth paint. If any medicines are not helping you, don't worry, leave the condition as it is.

Yes. You can use it. It's for the fungal infection. It's an opportunistic infection. That will also reduce the burning sensation if you have any.

Dear , I would not advise my patients that, as in my humble opinion, it does not treat the cause. Please continue the other management - as geographic tongue may get cleared depending upon your body's immunity. The cause of geographic tongue still remains obscure.

Geographic tongue is not a diseased condition. Its just variation from normal. But is highly sensitive to be attacked by fungal infection. If you are feeling pain or burning then you can use that lotion. Otherwise it will come and go by itself. Sometime it will be more prominenced and sometime it will be less.
