I am 64 years old. During 1984 I was diagnosed suffering from internal hemorrhoids and Lord stretch operation was done. Now I am suffering from rectum prolapse for the last two years. Whenever I go to toilet I have to push it inside every time. Kindly advise me the right course of action to get red of it.

Respected lybrate-user hi all you have to do is to avoid straining at stool & avoid hard stools nothing more can help u. Permanent solution is surgery only decided by the surgeon dear thanks regards.

Start taking stool softner, some plevic floor strengthening exercise and physiotherapy. Avoid straining, try these out and get urself examined. You should hv improvement with these measures. Wait for 3 months, if not improved then you may need a surgery.
