Last 7 years having pcod I conceived in 2012 with medication. I had suffered miscarriage by its own due to some choromose defect. Since then unable to conceive taken IUI three times. My husband had ED problem but his sperm report was okay last year. Now doctor advice to do YQ MICRODELETION test before going for IVF. Is it necessary to do a test & required at this stage? Pls help.

Patients with y chromosome microdeletion usually have less sperm count and presence or abscence of it does not change the outcome of pregnancy or pregnancy chances. If sperm count was very low then it was definitely a useful test but in your case it is definitely not needed. I think you should try for 3 more cycles of iui before spending a lot on ivf treatment.
