Hello lybrate user, back pain in a young patient such as yourself would alert me towards the possibility of an infection such as tuberculosis or other bacteria. Infection is usually associated with fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight, etc. Other causes may be trauma leading to a soft tissue injury or a bony fracture. Some patients might also be suffering from slip disc. Other rare causes could be spinal deformity, tumors, etc. But to arrive at an accurate diagnosis you need to go through a clinical assessment by a qualified orthopaedician or a spine surgeon. Hope this helps.
