The reason of foul smell is due to the calculous deposited on the teeth surfaces, which must be cleaned. The only process is scaling, which can only be performed by a dentist.

Good evening , at 25 yrs it is the most unwanted condition. After your wiring there must have been creations of periodontal pockets and bone loss - now that is the unwanted side effect of that system - that is why some clinicians prefer doing the open -plating system - which some patients may not accept due to higher costs involved. Now, that it has happened - it would require proper cleaning and maintainenece by you - brushing twice daily - after breakfast and after dinner - and rinsing 4 to 5 times a day with warm saline mouthrinses. It the problem still persists - then advisable to get a dental check up and have a good digital opg taken to review your bone levels between the teeth. The same may be shared with me on this forum. Tx.

You should go for cleaning of that area by a dentist. Chances are there, might be that area remain undisturbed for sometime during braces and has accumulated plaque which is causing foul smell.

Hello , the problem of bad breath is called halitosis. Knowing your history of accident I can say that probably because of the rearrangement of your teeth after the accident you must be having the problem of plaque accumulation which is soft white deposits on the teeth due to misaligned teeth. You probably require a round of cleaning followed by mouthwash rinsing for few days. Kindly see a dentist for your cleaning procedure and he would be able to tell you more after looking at your teeth clinically.
