I am a male around 62. Suffering from Osteoarthritis since around 10 yrs. I am based in Indore, MP. I wanted to go for the" Jab injection" for the time being, since I cannot afford the replacement. Can the doctors help me with the cost for both the knees, and also the pros and the cons. And any risk or side affects. I'll be very grateful indeed.

The cost of hyaluronic acid injection is roughly around 15000 for 1 knee. It works for at least 6 -9 months and more in some cases. Side effects are allergy (as it is chicken derived), swelling and infection (if not administered with aseptic precautions). Most of my patients get reasonable improvement after 2 months in terms of pain and mobility. With oral supplements the benefit is further improved. In my experience, 8 out of 10 patients will repeat the shot after experiencing the benefit.
