Sir my age is 20 I had my lipid test 3 months ago total cholesterol is 184 ,hdl 44, ldl 124, triglycerides 98, and i'm over weight so I decided to loose weight so I maintained low fat diet and I exercised a lot and now I lost weight and finally today I took lipid test again the total cholesterol is 155 ,ldl is 98, hdl is 38 why hdl is decreased sir 1 month ago I also had my 2d echo and ecg 3 months ago I also had tmt everything is normal in tests but I get anxiety and left chest pain mainly gastritis sometimes so what to do sir doctor said everything is normal but just because of today's lipid test I was bit worried about hdl level, one more thing I also heard on low calorie diet the hdl also decreases I didn't know whether it is true or not but pls help me sir what to do.

Dear sir it is commendable that you have managed to bring down your cholesterol levels by so much. Please continue with exercises and a low fat diet. Hdl can be increased by giving up smoking (if you do) and by cutting down on transfats like butter and fried /fast food. Take care.
