Hello sir, I have pot spine and i'm taking medicines from 15th jan though I can walk now as my doc said while walking I feel pain in my ankles, I have high uric acid after medications. I do not feel feel much pain in my back now its 50-60% gone. I want to know if I can ever be like before I was. Thanks

Depend upon extent of local disease. If there is no much destruction in spine. Then yes it's near totally recovered.

Hello lybrate user, potts spine is common in our country and much cab be treated with anti koch's therapy alone provided you are recovering with the medications. Exactly it has to be assessed with mri dorsolumbar spine with whole spine screening with x-rays of the local part. That way we can assess the disease spread and the destruction causes by the disease and the local spread. Coming back to your question, if destruction is minimal and therapy is working which is assessed by clinical examination you have a chance of recovery fully. Mri is essential god bless you.

uric acid level may be increased by pyrazinamide. If it is too high and uncomfortable symptoms trouble, consult your physician for change of medication.
