My son 5 years old has cold and throat infection. Doctor give him azithromycin suspension 250 mg/5 ml for 5 days. On 1st day I gave him 6 ml liquid, he spit out his 1st dose due to bad taste. Again, after 15 minutes, I gave him. He spit out little immediately. Then, after 24 hours, I gave him 2nd dose. He won't spit out. My question is now 1st day dose has been considered or not? How more days should I give him the medicine, 4 days or 5 days? Please reply at the earliest.

Since the boy only spat out little bit of the antibiotic on day 1, consider that he has taken the medicine. So give the medicine for 4 more days and finish the course as scheduled.
