What are the various tests that a t2 diabetic should do on a regular basis and what is the timeframe to be followed? this is for my mother who is on bedtime tresiba (8 units ave.) and also takes galvusmet 500/50 mg twice daily and amaryl 2mg twice daily.

Apart from fasting and ppbs. She needs to check blood sugar in the evening.//before dinner and bl sugar before bed time. That gives overall status of diabetes. Every 6 months hba1c.//bp monitoring//lipid profile. Eye check up yearly. Ecg-echocardiography yrly//or according to associated complains. Usg whole abdomen=2yrly. Vibration perception test yrly.//foot prints for uneven pressure. Micral test for kidneys-yrly//if positive than regular s-creatinine//serum electrolytes, she needs to add tab roseday 5mg at night to prevent cardiac/vascular complications.
