(a) keep your blood sugar levels under control. Fasting glucose:>100mg/dl postprandial glucose >140mg/dl. (b) low calorie diabetic diet. Avoiding fasting and feasting. Avoid fries. Root vegetables to be avoided, strictly potato group of roots. Avoid high calorie fruits such as banana, jackfruit, mangoes (ripe & unripe, dates. Low calorie fruits such as guava, sweetlime, apple, papaya, pomagranate can be taken one fruit a day. Strictly no juices. Fruits should be chewed with the fibre content. Take plenty of fibre containing vegetables. (c) tender chicken and fish gravy can be taken. No fries. Avoid mutton, beef, pork. White of the egg can be taken. No yolk. (d) milk 500 ml/day partially diluted. (e) avoid rice products. (f) 30 minutes walk every day and some mild exercises (g) regarding medications I dont know what you are taking. If the sugar is under control continue the same. (h) if you are healthy without any complications of heart. Kidney, eyes, brain, nerves after 25 yrs of diabetes, then you are a dynamic man.
